How to get to Salzburg

The nearest international airport is in Salzburg (approx. 4 km from the city center). There are several options to get from the airport to Salzburg:

From Salzburg Airport to Unipark Nonntal

By Bus Line 2 or 10 from the airport to the city center:

Line 2: Connects the airport to the Salzburg main train station (Central Station: Hauptbahnhof). The journey takes about 20 minutes.

Line 10: Goes directly to the city center (Ferdinand-Hanusch-Platz) and takes around 15 minutes. (traveling.com)

Tickets are available directly from the driver or from the machine.

Continue with Bus Line 5 or 25 from the Central Station:

Line 5: From the main train station towards Nonntal, stopping at the Justice Building (Justizgebäude).

Line 25: Also from the main station towards Nonntal, stopping at the Justice Building.

From the Justice Building, it’s just a short walk to Unipark Nonntal.

Salzburg Verkehr

The Salzburger Verkehrsverbund (SVV) operates local public transport services in Salzburg. You can buy different tickets (single ride or day ticket) for buses:

Guest Mobility Ticket

All overnight guests staying in officially registered accommodations in the Salzburg region receive the new Guest Mobility Ticket, which grants unlimited, free use of all public transportation throughout Salzburg Province for the entire duration of their stay. This includes the complete Salzburg city network, regional buses, all S-Bahn and regional trains, long-distance trains, and Salzburg Verkehr shuttle services.

The ticket is usually sent to guests electronically on the day before arrival by the accommodation, either as a PDF or directly to your mobile wallet. If you receive the ticket in advance (e.g., via pre-check-in), you can already use it for free travel from Salzburg’s main station or the airport to your accommodation.

If you do not receive the ticket beforehand, we recommend purchasing a short-term ticket, such as the one-hour ticket (Stundenticket), which is the most economical choice for a single journey. In this case, please ask for your Guest Mobility Ticket at the reception during check-in.

Please note that this benefit applies only to stays in officially registered hotels or guesthouses and is not available for private rentals such as Airbnb.
